Offically the river Bille originates as surface collection water body near Linau in the duchy Lauenburg. From Hoehnfelde at the edge of the forest recreation area Hahnheide, the river then forms the natural border between the Schleswig-Holstein rural districts duchy Herzogtum Lauenburg and Stormarn. The confluences Corbek and Schwarze Au. Near Trittau the mill beck feeds the Bille. Not far are the Lütjen Lake and Großen Lake, popular destinations and there are as well selected gastronomic enterprises.
